Mário de Ornelas Neves, who is responsible for managing Prime Yield’s office at Porto, obtained the MRICS qualification, adding to the other three professionals of this company’s team that already are RICS’ accredited. Besides Mário, Nelson Rêgo, José Velez and José Antonio Santos are also RICS qualified.
One of the world’s most prestigious professional associations, RICS regulates and promotes the property profession, assuring the highest educational, professional and ethical standards. In Portugal, this body which accredits professionals in the land, property and construction sectors, accounts about 100 members.
Nelson Rêgo, Managing Director of Prime Yield and also MRICS, says: “We are very proud in having a new member of RICS in our team. We congratulate Mário on successfully undertaking his Assessment of Professional Competence, well-known for being very demanding. Mário de Ornelas Neves began its professional path in 2005, since then developing an extensive expertise in property valuations, particularly for mortgage purposes and for property investment funds. After integrating SENER and Noraqua, Mário joined Prime Yield in 2007, currently being responsible for the coordination of the company’s activity in Northern Portugal from the Porto office, also providing consultancy and valuation services. With a degree in Civil Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto and a member of the Portuguese Engineers Order, Mário also obtained a post-graduation in Property Management from Porto Business School, a course that is certified by the Portuguese market regulator CMVM. In addition to this and other several courses, Mário also took the course of Property Valuation at ESAI, also accredited by CMVM.
